Gulfood is the largest food and beverage trade show in the Gulf Region and is among the largest food and beverage trade shows in the world. OTA companies repeatedly report strong success in attending Gulfood; the demand for organic products continues to grow rapidly in the U.A.E. and surrounding region. 

The deadline to register for Gulfood 2024 is November 3rd.

Registration for new participants and returning participants is $1200.00.

Your Registration Includes:

  • Roundtrip airfare to/from Dubai for 1 person from your company booked through OTA’s travel agent
  • Hotel stay for 1 person from your company for the duration of the event at the OTA group hotel, walking distance from the Dubai World Expo
  • A countertop in the OTA pavilion for you to display your products, inclusive of logo graphics
  • Shared translators in the OTA booth throughout the show  
  • On-site show support  
  • Please note any shipping of materials to the show is at your own cost, though OTA will help you coordinate shipping logistics

You are expected to arrive in Dubai on February 17th or 18th and have a company representative at your countertop for the duration of the show. Please note we are asking companies not to participate in both BioFach and Gulfood to allow for as many companies as possible to take advantage of OTA international events.

Organic Produce Summit 2023

Wednesday, July 12, 2023 - 9:00am to Thursday, July 13, 2023 - 5:00pm

Are you a business in organic produce or looking for a plethora of organic produce products? The Organic Produce Summit is the only event dedicated exclusively to bringing together organic fresh produce growers, shippers, and processors with retail and buying organizations from across the globe. OPS will have the Strengthening Organic Enforcement (SOE) session discussing the rule that went into effect on March 20 of this year, and the impact businesses have until March 19, 2024, to comply with its requirements. In this SOE session, OPS attendees will hear from leaders from across the organic produce supply chain about how their operations and how they are getting ready to address the most impactful changes before the 2024 implementation. The session will be moderated by Gwendolyn Wyard, Organic Trade Association’s VP of Regulatory Affairs. The SOE rule is the biggest update to USDA organic regulations since they were first published in 2000, and its aim is to bolster organic integrity and consumer confidence in the USDA. Be sure to attend this session for insight from organic leaders!

PASA Sustainable Agriculture Conference

PASA Sustainable Agriculture Annual Conference is one of the largest gatherings of sustainable farmers and food system changemakers in the Mid-Atlantic region. For more than 30 years, they have worked with our community to create a space where inspiration, innovation, and connection flourish. This conference will be held virtually on January 17- 19, 2023, and the in-person event on February 8-11, 2023 in Lancaster Pennsylvania. Drawing farmers, food system professionals, educators, advocates, researchers, market managers, homesteaders, gardeners, and changemakers who are passionate about building a better food system.

W.A.S.H Conference

Saturday, October 1, 2022 - 11:00am

 

W.A.S.H Conference seeks to build the capacity of systematically excluded farmers in the South by plugging them into the supply chain with major brands. W.A.S.H is intended for farmers with existing farming operations who have current demonstrated production capacity. This conference is not for beginners or start-up farms. It is open to all genders and farmers who identify as Black and/or Indigenous. OTA is attending this event.



Twenty farmers will be selected. Farmers will receive a $1000 stipend for their time and input. It will be held in Liberty, North Carolina on October 1. A private pre-conference bonfire event will be held at Green Heffa Farms on September 30, 2022.

 

If interested, please complete this application by August 17, 2022. Farmers selected will be notified by August 31, 2022.

W.A.S.H. OBJECTIVES

-Connect producers with companies that are being intentional about sourcing from BIPOC farmers.

-Discuss barriers that exist for Black and Indigenous farmers in equitable participation in the supply chain and ways to resolve them.

-Discuss opportunities for Black and Indigenous farmers in climate smart commodities and ways to become more climate resilient
