Nominations Process

Do you know a good candidate for OTA’s Board of Directors? Are you interested in developing your leadership skills as a member of the OTA Board of Directors? It’s simple to engage in the nominations process:

  1. The Board’s Governance Committee serves as the Nominating Committee. You may communicate your recommendation or your interest to the Chair of the Committee.
  2. Per the OTA bylaws, a Trade member in good standing may nominate a person for an open Board seat by sending a nomination to the President in writing, seconded by at least six additional Trade members in good standing, at least 90 days prior to the date of the Annual Member Meeting. Such nominated individuals shall be added to the slate presented to the membership.

If you would like to speak with a member of OTA's Board or executive staff to learn more, please contact OTA or Bob Kaake, Chair of the OTA Board's Governance Committee. You may also review the Criteria for OTA Member Board Candidates for details on the roles and responsibilities of serving on your trade association's Board.
