The OTA Calendar is full of events that are either organized or attended by OTA. We are pleased to organize and support dozens of events that advance organic agriculture and trade throughout the year. Some of these are signature OTA events hosted for members, while others are regional, national, or international conferences where OTA staff are featured keynotes and panelists. Whether we’re bringing the latest news and trends about the organic industry to diverse audiences, sponsoring business networking gatherings, or hosting listening sessions to gather feedback from the sector, you can count on OTA to be part of the action.

CCOF Annual Meeting

Tuesday, February 9, 2016 - 9:00am to Saturday, December 10, 2016 - 5:00pm

California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF’s) 2017 Annual Meeting and Conference events will take place February 9-10, 2017, in Visalia, California. This year’s theme—Organic Innovation and Inspiration—will feature the innovative techniques organic producers, handlers, retailers, and other change-makers are using to address current economic and environmental issues, as well as big ideas for tackling the challenges of tomorrow. We invite you to join other innovators to change the world by changing the way we grow.

The festivities begin Thursday evening with the first annual CCOF Foundation Awards Feast. Hear from the next generation of organic producers and the champions who are helping them build their careers in agriculture. Friday’s full-day conference will focus on the innovations that are shaping our organic world. From new technology to out-of-the-box solutions for sustainability, you won’t want to miss this show and tell from some of organic’s biggest thinkers.

Cuba Organic Research Trip

Cuba Organic Research Trip

Monday, May 2, 2016 - 9:45am to Saturday, May 7, 2016 - 5:00pm

OTA CEO/Executive Director Laura Batcha will join U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree and a group of U.S. organic food producers and advocates on a trip to Cuba May 2-7. The group, including OTA Members from Honest Tea, Global Organics, and other companies, will spend five days on the island, meeting with Cuba’s agriculture minister, touring farms and restaurants, and talking about opportunities for both imports and exports between Cuba and North America. The trip is being sponsored by the Center for Democracy in the Americas, which favors normalizing relations with Cuba. Part of the mission is to establish connections between Cubans who have been successfully producing essentially organic food for the last 25 years and companies involved in the American organic movement. Organic PAC Triple Play Fundraiser

Organic PAC, the only political action committee working to advance organic agriculture and trade, will bring supporters together during Organic Week in D.C. on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 6:30 PM for a grand slam event.  Attendees will enjoy the comfort of a private box while watching the Nationals take on the Mets.
