W.A.S.H Conference

W.A.S.H Conference seeks to build the capacity of systematically excluded farmers in the South by plugging them into the supply chain with major brands. W.A.S.H is intended for farmers with existing farming operations who have current demonstrated production capacity. This conference is not for beginners or start-up farms. It is open to all genders and farmers who identify as Black and/or Indigenous. OTA is attending this event.
Twenty farmers will be selected. Farmers will receive a $1000 stipend for their time and input. It will be held in Liberty, North Carolina on October 1. A private pre-conference bonfire event will be held at Green Heffa Farms on September 30, 2022.
If interested, please complete this application by August 17, 2022. Farmers selected will be notified by August 31, 2022.
W.A.S.H. OBJECTIVES
-Connect producers with companies that are being intentional about sourcing from BIPOC farmers.
-Discuss barriers that exist for Black and Indigenous farmers in equitable participation in the supply chain and ways to resolve them.
-Discuss opportunities for Black and Indigenous farmers in climate smart commodities and ways to become more climate resilient

Japan and Korea Trade Mission
Monday, October 24, 2022 - 9:00am to Friday, October 28, 2022 - 5:30pm Register now to join the Organic Trade Association and the Food Export Association on a focused trade mission to Japan and Korea! This trade mission will visit Tokyo and Seoul, with a focus on organic and healthy product importers. OTA and Food export will coordinate one-on-one meetings with qualified buyers in both markets for you, as well as retail tours on-site. This trade mission will begin in Tokyo on October 24th and conclude in Seoul on October 28th.

Transportation to/from the airport is at your own cost, with the exception of airport travel between Tokyo and Seoul. OTA does not cover shipping costs for your products; however, OTA will provide logistical support for shipping. You are expected to arrive in Tokyo no later than October 23rd. Third Annual National Latino Farmers and Ranchers Congress

OTA is proud to be attending The NLFR's Annual Congress Conference held at Isleta, New Mexico October 27- 29. The purpose of the event is to bring agricultural stakeholders together to share agricultural best practices, Farm Bill resolutions, and climate-smart updates. Conference participants will discuss their regional programs and challenges to learn directly from each other. OTA is coming to discuss organic opportunities and challenges, and how best to access resources.
