Mike Dill | Manager of Policy & Advocacy, Organically Grown Company – Coordinator, Organic Produce Wholesalers Coalition

Mike Dill manages organic trade advocacy for Organically Grown Company, the Northwest’s largest organic produce distributor. He is the lead coordinator for the Organic Produce Wholesalers Coalition, representing organic wholesalers and growers to the National Organic Program, National Organic Standards Board and Legislators. Mike also sits on the board of the Oregon Organic Coalition and Washington’s Coalition for Organic and Regenerative Agriculture. Mike’s 15 years of experience in the organic trade includes eight years managing food safety, compliance and policy and two years managing stakeholder engagement and advocacy for OGC, along with five years working as an organic inspector, Fair Trade inspector and certification officer for Oregon Tilth. Mike received his Food Science and Technology degree with minors in Chemistry and Horticulture from Oregon State University in 2007. 

 

 

Lindsey McCoy | CEO & Co-Founder of Plaine Products

Lindsey McCoy is co-founder and CEO of Plaine Products, which offers premium personal care products in aluminum bottles that can be returned, refilled and reused. She was inspired to start Plaine Products after spending 10 years working on environmental education in the Bahamas, islands full of single-use plastic. Based in the Cincinnati, Ohio Plaine Products is B Corp and a member of 1% for the Planet. Lindsey has a master’s degree from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs from Indiana University. She is currently on the Board of Plastic Ocean Project and a volunteer for Citizen’s Climate Lobby.  

 

 

 

John McKeon | Director of Organic Integrity & Compliance at Earthbound Farms

John McKeon is the Director of Organic Integrity at Taylor Farms overseeing organic programs for farm, harvest and processing businesses. He also works on field food safety, quality, and sustainability programs. He has worked at Taylor Farms & Earthbound Farm for 15+ years. John also spent 10 years working at CCOF from an intern to inspector. He studied horticulture and environmental studies at Cabrillo College and the University of California Santa Cruz. John lives with his family on the central coast.

 

 

 

Lisa de Lima | Vice President of Grocery at MOM’s Organic Market

Lisa de Lima has worked in organic retail for the last 24 years. She is currently the VP of Grocery at MOM’s, a role she’s enjoyed for over a decade. Over the years, Lisa has orchestrated several progressive environmental initiatives such as MOM’s Sustainable Seafood Program, where MOM's became the first store in the country to stock only sustainable seafood, and “Ban the Bottle” where MOM’s stop selling bottled water. Her expertise includes organization development, category management, sourcing & ingredient standards, merchandising, and pricing. From 2015-2020 she served on the National Organic Standards Board. Lisa earned her BS in Environmental Studies and Political Science from the University of Vermont, and her MBA from Johns Hopkins University.

Alejandra Warren | Co-Founder & Executive Director of Plastic Free Future

Alejandra Warren is a sustainability consultant and intersectional environmentalist working on diverse zero waste, resource conservation and intersectional justice projects. She co-founded Plastic Free Future in 2020, a non-profit organization dedicated to the reduction and elimination of plastic pollution through promoting reusable alternatives and focusing on outreach to systemically excluded communities. Alejandra is currently involved in local, national and global policy efforts to address the environmental injustices caused by the toxic life cycle of plastics. From soil to humans, Alejandra strongly believes in the interconnectedness of all organisms and that working to heal our relationship with the environment will lead to happier, healthier and more resilient communities.
