Farm Bill Listening Session - “The Next Farm Bill, Conversations in the Field”

Monday, October 9, 2017 - 10:00am

This is one of a few limited opportunities for organic stakeholders to get in front of the Committee and highlight organic priorities for the next Farm Bill.  All of the organic programs are vulnerable this Farm Bill cycle, so it is important to advocate for them. The Organic Trade Association asks you to attend and advocate directly for Farm Bill policies that promote a healthy organic marketplace, ensure that organic farmers continue to be successful, and expand organic production. Learn more about the Organic Trade Association's 2018 Farm Bill Priorities.

The event starts at 10:00 a.m. Attendees will be asked to fill out a card when they arrive (early arrival is recommended) and an order for speaking will be announced. If you are able to participate or if you want to learn more about getting involved, please reach out to Megan Debates, Director of Legislative Affairs and Coalitions at the Organic Trade Association (202.403.8643, mdebates@ota.com).
