The Organic Trade Association is proud to support a new program led by Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold, the first major beer brand to be USDA certified organic. The new program, 6 For 6-Pack, helps U.S. farmers who want to convert to organic farming by assisting them through the challenging three-year transition process.

A final rule published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Organic Program (NOP) now requires the use of certified organic flavors in certified organic products when they are commercially available. The rule was implemented and went into effect on December 27, 2019.

The Organic Trade Association on Monday urged the U.S. Department of Agriculture to “move expeditiously” to implement a final rule to clarify the Origin of Livestock rule, saying that “clarification [of the rule] is long overdue and is critical to leveling the playing field among organic dairy producers.”
