Produce farm with cows and horses sitting on just over 1 acre. We have been on the farm for about one year since we had to relocate. We specialize in tropical produce and Caribbean produce.

Every farmer has a different set of opportunities and challenges. For some, a community of like-minded farmers is all that is needed to revolutionize their operation. The catalyst for others can be markets that reward their stewardship of land. Some need an integrated farm plan that brings clarity and technique to their vision. We meet farmers on their journey, helping them thrive in making a living growing plants and raising animals in relationship with their place.

Our work begins with farm planning. We dream big about what the land wants to be and how to implement regenerative principles and practices.

Putting ideals into action is hard to do. We use a combination of community support, capital and markets to activate regenerative agriculture on the land. Our work learns from and contributes to an emerging and diverse community of funders, practitioners and purchasers.

We currently work with farmers across the Mountain West, Southwest, Great Plains and Midwest.

We are financing a regenerative revolution with the Perennial Fund and EQIP. We are creating successful transition plans with place-based knowledge and technical assistance. We are securing market premiums for crops and carbon.

I am Marie Antoinette McGruder the granddaughter of Marvin McGruder and the great granddaughter of Charles McGruder Jr. He is the original owner of McGruder Land acquired after being freed from slavery as a result of the Emancipation Proclamation of 1862. Starting business ventures and materializing a vision is in my DNA. I have always pursued my dreams and my passions as they have evolved over my lifetime. One of my biggest dreams from the age of eight has been to farm on the land that has been in my family for nearly 160 years. Today I own 10 acres and control more than 74 acres of farmable land and my vision is to develop an infrastructure to grow and market highly desirable nutritious non chemically grown non-GMO produce and other edibles right here on our McGruder family land.
