Thermiculture Farming is a full service citrus and date farm management company, we farm (for our growers) 2,480 acres of citrus, mostly lemons, mandarins and grapefruit of that 680 acres organically and of that 170 acres is our own. We farm the largest organic date farming operation in the world with 4,600 acres of 100% organic Medjool, Deglet, Zahidi and Barhi dates. About half are sold fresh and half for food processing. Energy bars, Cliff bar, Luna bar and general mills are our largest buyers.
We operate our own commercial tree trimming / mechanical topping, hedging and shredding equipment, and our own green waste mulch application company applying over 35,000 tons of locally recycled and composted landscape green waste. In our sandy desert soils the bulky green waste helps with our water holding and nutrient holding capacities in our 0-.05% OM soils. We also produce our own compost tea to help supplement our mulch applications and overall nutrition and soil health. We produce 1,000 gallons daily during our season from February through July, supplying not only our own groves but others, and also including a few of the local golf courses.

Sisters Jordan Catapano and Jocelyn Dunn, co-owners of This Girl Walks into a Bar: Mixers + Snacks, bring you beverage mixers (bar snacks coming soon!), created to complete and enhance your bar setup. Set against the backdrop of California outdoor entertaining and dining, their products use fresh, certified-organic ingredients, that are low sugar and taste homemade.

Southern California natives Jordan and Jocelyn were in business together by the ages of 8 and 10. They worked through conflicts in their sandbox and developed business strategies in the backseat of their family’s yellow station wagon on cross-country road trips. Their “grown-up” collaboration combines Jordan’s extensive bartending and mixology experience with Jocelyn’s professional art direction and graphic design skills. This creative synergy produced a popular blog, three published books, and the bartender staffing company This Girl Walks into a Bar: Bartending.

In 2021, these busy moms and entrepreneurs launched their mixer line. Their first flavor, a deliciously tart Margarita Mix, entered the market in 2022 with a small production run. In December of 2024, they added a spicy Bloody Mary and a fresh Pineapple Mint Mojito Mix to the collection. Their mission is to create high-quality, non-alcoholic, and responsibly sourced organic mixers for any age and every lifestyle.

On January 8th of 2025, Jordan and her family lost her home and a portion of the company’s mixers and equipment in the Palisades Fire. Fortunately most of their bottles were safely stored 55 miles away in a warehouse east of Los Angeles. There has been a tremendous outpouring of love and support from people everywhere, and the sisters are more devoted than ever to their family-owned business.

Thorvin Kelp, USA is the manufacturer/importer of geothermally dried kelp, which is used as a fertilizer and as an animal feed supplement. Thorvin kelps are carefully manufactured, sustainable products.

We work daily to raise the bar on quality of life by creating sustainable systems at home and at origin. Our commitment to smallholder coffee farmers and our sourcing principles are rooted in dignity and solidarity. SInce 2012, Thread Coffee has worked to elevate farmers and empower women at origin and in Baltimore. We build and maintain relationships with farmers through a model of transparent trade built on dignity. We pay above fair-trade prices and reinvest in our farmer communities each year. We strive toward egalitarian governance in our worker-owned model by prioritizing women, queer and POC in our hiring practices. Sustainability in the coffee supply stream must include all hands lifting up their neighbors and communities. We know that woman cannot live on coffee alone.

Thread Coffee formed in 2012 among friends who wanted to come up with a way to stand in solidarity with different social movements around the world. Our first relationship coffee was with the autonomous Zapatista coffee community in Chiapas, Mexico. Years later, we continue to purchase coffee from those same farmers, and have added more direct trade coffees to our offerings. We stand in solidarity with women and indigenous smallholder farmers around the world.

In 2014, we partnered with Baltimore collective Red Emma’s and became the in-house coffee roaster for their popular vegan restaurant/cafe and bookstore. Between 2014-2017, we grew our wholesale coffee business and continued to grow our commitments to our farmer partners. We expanded our services to include cafe build outs and partnered with Johns Hopkins University and Bon Appetit food service to provide fair trade organic coffee in their university local Real Food campaign.

In 2017, we moved into our new and larger roastery in the mixed-use makerspace in Open Works in Baltimore’s Greenmount West neighborhood. In 2019, we released our first ready-to-drink beverage, our nitro cold brew canned coffee. We were named Best Coffee in Maryland by Food and Wine Magazine in 2019, as well as several notable mentions in Bon Appetit, Sprudge, Daily Coffee News and Roast Magazine.
