The family-owned Nunes Company, Inc. pioneers progressive farming methods and provides generations of hands-on commitment to grow and deliver produce of exceptional quality.
Bob and Tom Nunes formed Nunes Brothers of California in 1966, one of the first companies to film-wrap lettuce for freshness. After selling that company and a brief retirement, the brothers then founded The Nunes Company, Inc. in 1976. With meticulous attention to the details of growing and harvesting products, they developed the Foxy brand and increased farm acreage in order to send quality produce throughout the United States and to the rest of the world.
Today, Nunes family members farm and represent farmer-partners to provide an array of organic and conventional products grown on fields totaling more than 18,000 crop acres.

Once Upon a Farm was founded with the dream of providing yummy and nutritious “farm-to-family” foods to kids of all ages. This was the goal from the very start in 2015, as we began making cold-pressed, organic baby food and applesauces that parents would prefer over the highly-processed, shelf-stable alternatives.

We always suspected that highly processed flour from big factories couldn’t be too good for us. But, the more we researched and talked to health leaders, the more clear it became that decades of chemical farming & industrial milling have impacted flour quality and nutrition.

Flour used to be a superfood. Wheat was grown organically and fresh-milled on stones. But now, wheat is grown with pesticides and flour is stripped of nutrients in big factories and made to be cheaper, not healthier. One Mighty Mill is on a mission to change that.

We commissioned a mill from Andrew Heyn, the only stone mill builder in the United States, so we could stone-grind our organic wheat into the fresh, nutritious, flavorful flour that goes into all of our delicious products. We now have 7 stone mills. And we're hoping to build more mills in more communities across the U.S.

OneCert provides prompt, professional organic certification services. OneCert verifies compliance with multiple international standards including: US, Europe, and Japan. OneCert is NOP and ISO-65 accredited. OneCert Asia office is accredited to NPOP in India.

OneCert is the only US certification body accredited to certify to all four Global Organic Textiles Standards (GOTS) scopes. Textile certification to the Organic Exchange (100 and Blended) Standards is also offered.
