The North American Coalition for Insect Agriculture (NACIA) began in 2016 when around fifty stakeholders in the insects for food and feed industry met at the Eating Insects Detroit Conference. Initially working as the North American Edible Insect Coalition (NAEIC), through 2016 and 2017 a board of directors was nominated and elected from among the public by and for the educators, researchers and entrepreneurs in the growing “BugAg,” movement. With the recent advances for the potential uses of insects beyond food products, the Board would like to be able to provide the most accurate information to the public, assist in new avenues of research and provide resources for new market entrants. Consequently we felt the change from NAEIC to NACIA would better reflect the broader diversity of species and applications for insects and insect products. Anchored by Founding Member companies, Aspire Food Group, Beta Hatch, Entosystem, EnviroFlight, Fluker Farms, InnovaFeed, PreZero, Protix, and Ynsect, total membership is over 150 strong.

NACIA members include insect producers, product makers in food, animal feed, pet food and soil health, as well as technology and service providers for agriculture and food. Researcher and university student members are examining how to improve the insect agriculture industry through scientific inquiry.

NACIA is currently working to improve the regulatory environment in North America, connect our members with industry stakeholders, and the knowledge they need to grow. We also work to inform key stakeholders about the potential for insects to provide environmentally sustainable, highly nutritious ingredients that can be produced as part of circular and regenerative agriculture.

The North American Linen Association (NALA) is a nonprofit trade association founded and supported by individuals and businesses committed to developing the flax fiber industry across North America. Grassroots efforts drive this initiative, and we invite you to join our mission to revitalize this vital industry on the continent.

NALA is dedicated to offering its members a range of valuable tools, resources, and services, including educational resources and materials, networking opportunities, and timely updates on industry data, standards, and trends. Nutrify, LLC began as the purchasing division of Wenger Feeds. For years, the team worked to procure grains, commodities, and ingredients for Wenger Feeds seven milling locations. Through the relationships developed with producers, suppliers, customers, nutritionists, and research universities, the group was able to learn, evolve, and grow. In 2015, the division was separated from Wenger Feeds and consolidated under the holding company, The Wenger Group.

Today, Nutrify supplies conventional and organic ingredients to animal feed manufacturers throughout the Northeast United States. Located in historic Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, the company works with suppliers to distribute ingredients for poultry and swine feeds. OMRI supports organic integrity by providing organic certifiers, farmers, gardeners, processors, and suppliers an independent review of inputs, such as fertilizers, pest control and livestock care products, intended for use in organic production. Acceptable products are OMRI Listed® and appear on the OMRI Products List© or OMRI Canada Products List©. OMRI also provides guidance and training on the acceptability of inputs under organic standards.

On The Mark Consulting ​President Sandra Marquardt is a mission-driven communications, research, and advocacy professional with extensive experience in the agricultural, environmental, and sustainable fashion and textiles sectors.

Sandra has spearheaded issue and media relations campaigns, led advocacy initiatives at the congressional and regulatory levels, written in-depth reports on a variety of agricultural and environmental topics, presented at and organized conferences and educational seminars, written a wide range of detailed's reports, testified before Congress, hosted and directed organic cotton fashion shows, and much more.

Previously, Sandra served as Textile Exchange's Fiber Crops Senior Manager, President of On the Mark PR, North America Representative for the Global Organic Textile Standard, Communications Director for the Sustainable Food Trade Association, and Coordinator for the Organic Trade Association Fiber Council. She also developed and directed M+R Organics, a division of the public affairs firm M+R Strategic Services, in addition to working with Greenpeace, Beyond Pesticides, and other leading environmental organizations.

Since 2009, Sandra has also managed a popular organic farmers market and a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program in her Maryland community.
